About This Position

After-School Teachers develop and implement educational and recreational activities that provide students with a safe and enriching environment beyond regular school hours. They plan daily programs that include academic enrichment, arts and crafts, and recreational activities; supervise and support staff; maintain a safe and positive setting; communicate with parents and guardians about student progress; and evaluate program effectiveness to recommend improvements.

Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.

Requirements

Strong leadership and organizational skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; capacity to create a positive and inclusive environment for children of diverse backgrounds; knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate practices; ability to work flexible hours, including evenings; and CPR and/or First Aid certification.

Schedule Details

Monday through Friday, 2:30pm -6:00pm - *days may change depending on the candidate's schedule
